A LITTLE BREATH

With the presentation of the creative itineraries of four young artists who work in ours
territory in the context of the avant-garde, an exhibition conceived as an art laboratory opens.
Almost two years after the inauguration of the exhibition spaces of the Marco association
Biagini, Vittorio Cavallini, Andrew Smaldone, Enrico Vezzi have in fact decided to resume the
dialogue started during the design process of the first exhibition “What do you see Alberto”, il
whose title was born from a work created specifically for the occasion by the artist Fabio
Cresci, who referred on this occasion to Alberto Moretti, artist and cultural promoter of the
Galleria Schema, which has developed a thirty-year course of international exhibitions and
critical debate. The artists had in fact discussed how to set up the entire path together
exhibition and the idea of proposing one among them that could act as a “go-between” for the others had matured,
in this case Moretti, to visit the studios and together choose the works to show, so as to suggest
a direction for the unitary itinerary making the works – emblem coexist in the same place.
In this exhibition, the fulcrum for the conception was Fabio Cresci who fueled the tension
creative so that each of the four young artists has been oriented to create new works.
Thus setting up a generational crossing, to build together an itinerary in his own
“Farsi”, resulting from a meeting between Fabio Cresci, who has been pursuing his research for years, and these artists,
each visiting the studios of the others, so that even the title is derived from an expression of Fabio
in the purpose of seeking a contact between outside and inside, between life and art, between appearance and
essence, between nature and culture, between intuition and intellect, between naturalness and convention. Indeed
the observer will be invited to perceive a “breath of air”, a breath, a breath to reconsider the
one’s position and dimension of existence.
The overall path was born gradually, the artists discussed their work and
on everyone’s creative process, they examined the space, they designed the exhibition together,
finding themselves more than once in the exhibition environment with their works, elaborated with modalities
different and various types of materials, from plastics and canvases for painting to objects found to create
installations, each following their own research, but generated by this meeting, by words
that have been said, from the ideas that have manifested themselves, in a procedural way, specifically for
the place.
An exhibition that, once again, can open a discussion on the artistic “situation”
contemporary, posing questions and stimulating a comparison on experimentation and on
current research guidelines.
