This exhibition is a homage to Luigi Boni, thirty years after his disappearance, who lived in Empoli and, during his youth, in Alexandria in Egypt and in the thirties in Paris.
His artistic experience followed the tide of abstract and informal painting, in fact he got to know the works of Lucio Fontana, Enrico Castellani, Agostino Bonalumi when he was in Milan and in his home territory Loris Fucini e Piero Gambassi were his friends. In the sixties he attended any initiatives of the Fiamma Vigo Gallery , proposing his objet trouvé works such as his fragments, “lavaroni - seaweeds”, sponges, toothpicks.
The exhibition presents a choice of pictures from the Masetti Collection in Empoli and it distinguishes itself as a first recognition of Boni’s artistic itinerary.
